IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra said that the minimum temperature during November is expected to be above normal in most areas of the country. Mohapatra, in a way, dismissed the possibility of cold wave this month and said that the day temperatures are likely to be above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand. Mohapatra said that these areas may remain cloudy, although the minimum temperature is likely to be above normal. This means that the chances of cold wave conditions during November are less.
