Weather Update: Weather will change again in Delhi-NCR, IMD issues an alert

Weather Update Today: This week Delhi-NCR saw thunderstorms and rainfall on Monday onwards, the effect of which continues till now. People have gotten relief from the scorching heat. This relief is likely to continue for the next few days. Meanwhile, the weather in the capital may again take a turn on Friday. It will be cloudy throughout the day. Light rain is also likely in the evening.

Temperature in Delhi-NCR

According to the forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department, the sky over Delhi-NCR will remain cloudy on Friday. Light rain may also occur in the afternoon or evening. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 39 and 24 degree Celsius respectively during this period. It is also forecast that the temperature of Delhi will not go above 40 degrees till Sunday. Overall, the whole week is going to pass with relief from the scorching heat. 

Meanwhile, the effect of rain on Monday morning in Delhi-NCR can still be felt. Earlier on Thursday also the maximum and minimum temperatures of Delhi were recorded below normal. Delhi's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 36.7 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 22.5 degrees Celsius, four notches below normal. The humidity level in the air was 90 to 36 percent.

The air of Delhi NCR remained in the medium to poor category

On Thursday also, the air quality of Delhi NCR remained in the moderate to poor category. Safar India says that there will not be much changed in this for a day or two. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the air index of Delhi on Thursday was 199. Among the NCR cities, Faridabad had an air index of 190, Ghaziabad 225, Greater Noida 200, Gurugram 180 and Noida 185.
