New Delhi: Heavy rainfall along with thunderstorms occurred in the national capital Delhi on Wednesday, which will continue till the weekend. the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has made this prediction 4 days ago. According to the IMD, rain would occur in Delhi from January 5, Wednesday and continue till January 9, Sunday. As a result, the minimum temperature has dipped more and the air quality has also improved due to stronger easterly winds.
Snowfall in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir
States like Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir are facing snowfall along with rain. People are experiencing severe cold wave along with heavy snowfall. The head of India Meteorological Department Himachal Pradesh, Surender Paul said, “In the next four to five days the weather conditions in the state would bring snowfall and rain in the region. On January 5 and 6, higher mountains of the districts of Shimla, Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur, Sirmaur and some parts of Solan will receive heavy snowfall and other parts of the state will get light snowfall and rain.”
Kashmir will also see moderate to heavy snowfall in the Valley and rains in the Jammu region due to western disturbances.
