Once again the CBI action has started in West Bengal. Now in the coal scam case, CBI has raided the house of Bengal Law and Labor Minister Malay Ghatak. This raid is going on at the minister's residence in Asansol. Let us tell you that ED is already in action in this case. A case has been registered against many people including Abhishek Banerjee, nephew of Mamata Banerjee, in the coal scam.

According to the information, Malay Ghatak was summoned for questioning several times by the CBI, but he refused to join the interrogation every time by making excuses. After this, now the CBI has raided about 5 places of his. Apart from this, the CBI can also interrogate Mamta's minister.

In this case, the Enforcement Directorate had registered a case under the Money Laundering Act. The investigation was started on the basis of the FIR registered by the CBI on 27 November 2020. During the investigation, the Enforcement Directorate came to know about the manipulation of crores of Gurupada Majhi and Joydeb Mandal. Both are accused of siphoning off the amount of Rs 104 crore of crime through 6 shell companies of Kolkata in Group Ada Majhi. It is also alleged that these people created movable and immovable properties from this amount.

In this case, the ED had also attached properties worth crores of rupees of the accused. Movable and immovable properties worth about Rs 181 crore were attached. The ED has already arrested many accused in this case. Mamta's nephew and TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee has been questioned several times by the ED in the coal scam case. There is an allegation against him that money received from illegal business was passed on to him.
