Veteran film actor Amitabh Bachchan today said about freedom of expression, "Even now questions are raised on the freedom of citizens."

Actor Amitabh Bachchan talked about civil liberties and freedom of expression at the inauguration of the International Film Festival being held in Kolkata today. He said that “even now questions are raised on the freedom of citizens.” Not only this, Amitabh Bachchan further said, "I am sure that my colleagues on the stage will agree that even now questions are being raised on civil liberties and freedom of expression." He said this after talking in detail on British censorship, pre-independence films against oppressors, communalism and social unity.

Mamta Banerjee demanded Bharat Ratna

During the festival, Mamta Banerjee said in her speech that 'Amitabh Bachchan is Bharat Ratna in my eyes. We want that he should also be awarded Bharat Ratna. He is respected by the whole country.
