Why does the police want to detain former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan? Toshakhana Case Explained

The news claims that Pakistan has been experiencing problems for some time. Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, has recently evaded all arrest attempts, but there are also rumours that he could be detained at any time. 

Police failed to arrest Imran Khan

The police arrived outside Imran Khan's home in Lahore's Zaman Park in recent days, but they were unable to take him into custody. There was a lot of commotion between Imran Khan's party workers and the police, and there were allegations of injuries on both sides. On Wednesday, Imran posted on social media that the police were firing. The arrest is merely a pretext; the true goal is to have me killed. This plot was conceived in London. Regarding the altercation in Zaman Park, Imran Khan has also been the subject of a case.

Imran Khan was actually scheduled to be detained in the Toshakhana case. Imran is charged with purchasing priceless gifts from the national treasury and selling them for billions of rupees in Toshakhana, the location where the wealth is stored. He was to be detained till March 29 pursuant to an order from the Islamabad High Court. Imran submitted a plea to the High Court on Wednesday asking for the arrest warrant to be revoked.
