The 3 bye-elections held in Uttar Pradesh have set the picture of a new politics in the state. Even though the record victory of Dimple Yadav in Mainpuri is being discussed, but its meaning is not seen to be made on a large scale. After the demise of Mulayam Singh Yadav in Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat, sympathy votes were being generated. The unity of Mulayam family has completed the right task. When Shivpal Singh Yadav entered the election field with Akhilesh Yadav, it was decided that Samajwadi Party is going to win Mainpuri with a huge margin. Akhilesh completed the remaining work by participating in the booth level conference. Mulayam's daughter-in-law and SP candidate Dimple Yadav went from village to village. Met everyone and asked for votes. Vote as Mulayam's daughter-in-law as Mainpuri's daughter-in-law, victory was certain. However, this victory does not seem to make much difference to the Samajwadi Party.

Voting for the Mainpuri Lok Sabha by-election was held on 5 December. The counting of votes started at 8 am on Thursday. Dimple Yadav was in the lead from the beginning. Let me tell you, apart from Mainpuri, the Election Commission had also conducted by-elections for Rampur and Khatauli assembly of Uttar Pradesh.
