Rajeev Ranjan Lalan Singh, National President of the Janata Dal-United (JDU), has arrived in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, and has stated that if the JDU forms an alliance in Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, it will be with the Samajwadi Party (SP). In Bihar, the ruling JDU and its alliance partner RJD (Rashtriya Janata Dal) have no elected representatives in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly.
He stated that we would work to bring other parties into the coalition to oppose the BJP in UP. Regarding the cooperation with Congress, the RLD leader argued that the opposition should be united nationwide. We have a plan in place and a blueprint for how to beat the BJP in Uttar Pradesh. Farmers and unemployment will be the main election issues.
The RLD leader stated that there has been no discussion about the seat. We have an alliance on every seat. He stated that the ruling party is purposefully preventing the House from functioning. However, Jayant Chaudhary’s statement on the alliance now appears to be diametrically opposed to Akhilesh Yadav’s statement. Earlier in Varanasi, Akhilesh Yadav stated that the SP will not form an alliance with any other party.
