After the announcement of extension of winter holidays till January 21 in the schools of entire Haryana including Gurugram, Faridabad etc, The decision to extend the winter vacation in schools till January 2023 can be taken today, on January 15.

There is a possibility of taking a decision on Sunday by the Directorate of Education to extend the in Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh till January 21, according to various media reports. However, no formal announcement has yet been made by the Delhi government regarding Delhi Winter Vacation 2023 extension in capital government and private schools.

Haryana Govt Announced Extension of Winter Vacations

Haryana Government has announced extension of winter vacations till January 21 in all government and private schools. Also, Gurgaon and Faridabad, Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh similar decision can be taken. 

It has been taken in view of severe cold conditions and cold wave. However, this decision has been taken by Haryana State and Chandigarh UT Administration for the students of Nursery to VIII. At the same time, state and central board examinations, pre-board and practical exams for classes X and XII will continue as per the announced schedule. The school has to take a decision on online / offline regarding the classes of second, ninth and eleventh students.
