Brij Bhushan has stated that despite mounting pressure to resign in the wake of claims of sexual exploitation of wrestlers, he will not do so at this time. Instead, he will conduct a press conference at 4 p.m. He claimed that players are consistently coming forward to offer their support.

The Wrestling Training Center in Nawabganj, Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh, is where Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, President of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), will hold a press conference today at noon. Sports Ministry gives ultimatum to Brij Bhushan Singh

Sources claim that the Sports Ministry on Thursday issued Wrestling Federation President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh a 24-hour deadline to quit from his position. Following the players' protest, Anurag Thakur summoned Singh and demanded that he resign. Late on Thursday night, Anurag Thakur met the players who were protesting. Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia, Ravi Dahiya, and Sakshi Malik were all a part of it. The athletes will see the sports minister once more on Friday.
