Bakra Eid guidelines in Kerala:
Considering the increased contamination of the Covid-19 virus in Kerala, the state government has announced a complete lockdown on 17th and 18th July 2021. The New guidelines have been issued after the review meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
As decided in the meeting, there will be a complete lockdown in the state on July 17th and 18th, and banks will also remain closed during this time. However, some relaxation has also been given for the rest of the day.
According to the new decisions of the Kerala CMO, the lockdown restrictions will be relaxed on 18th, 19th, and 20th July in view of Bakrid. In addition to this, the shops selling essential goods in A, B, and C categories, permission has been given to open clothing shops, footwear shops, electronics shops, fancy shops, and jewelry shops till 8 pm.
Shops will be permitted to remain open till 8 pm and banks will be open for the general public for 5 days a week. It must be noted that the business workers had demanded that the state government, allow them to open shops on all days of the week.
But the state government believes that at present the situation of Coronavirus pandemic in the state does not allow this and till the positivity test rate does not come down to 10%, the lockdown will continue in Kerala for the last two days of the week.
