More than three hundred flood-affected families came on the road in Mithansarai of Lashkaripur Panchayat, adjacent to the city in Bihar. At present, the Muzaffarpur and Motihari districts of Bihar are totally submerged into the water.
The water level of the Kosi and Gandak rivers has reached a dangerous level now. On Monday, water entered 23 houses of Madhopur here, leaving life in disarray. Many families left their homes and took shelter with their relatives.
The floods have completely engulfed the Mithansarai area, situated right next to the Muzaffarpur-Darbhanga Fourlane and Muzaffarpur-Sitamarhi railway lines.
Just like every year, the floods have affected the lives of people a lot, as the people have started using boats to travel to places. Many families have been forced to dislocate from places, and as per the reports, around 16 districts are prone to flood in Bihar currently.
It must be noted that such conditions in Bihar during the monsoon is an annual thing, and happens every year. While the government easily ignored the plight of the people suffering.
People who have dislocated from their places are struggling for food and water too.
