Bihar Lockdown News: Complete lockdown imposed in Bihar by CM Nitish Kumar, know the lockdown guidelines

For the increasing Covid-19 cases are continuing to create havoc across the country, different state governments are taking protective measures to curb the current condition. And hence, a complete lockdown in Bihar is being speculated by the Bihar Government. While the doctors of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Patna AIIMS, and the entrepreneurs from CAIT were demanding this lockdown already.   

On Monday, the Patna Highcourt questioned the Bihar Government that when will be a lockdown imposed in Bihar. And hence, CM Nitish Kumar today had a meeting with the Disaster Management Crew, in which the decision of complete lockdown has been discussed. While the decision of this complete lockdown has been taken to break the chain of coronavirus transmission and to curb the increasing Covid-19 cases because Bihar is reporting 13,000 to 15,000 cases each day.   

CM presided over a meeting:

On Monday, CM Nitish Kumar participated in a high-profile \ meeting to discuss the Covid-19 situation of the state. It must be noted that, after the meeting, CM Nitish Kumar heard about the condition prevailing in the state, and hence, in today’s meeting with the Disaster Management crew, the decision for Complete Lockdown may be considered. While the medical department has suggested a complete lockdown in Bihar. 

Here's what is not restricted:

  • All the essential services including the District Administrative Services, police, civil defense, sanitization, fire brigade, water supply, and health services will be exempted from the lockdown. 
  • Banks, insurance offices, and ATMs.
  • Construction works of any type.
  • All things related to e-commerce
  • Agriculture and allied activities.
