Recently, the Central Board of Secondary Education has launched a Counselling Application named “Dost for Life App” for its students studying in Class 9th to 12th. The newly launched application focuses to improve the psychosocial wellness of the students. Considering the current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic in India, the application aims to help students to deal with depression, anxiety, internet addiction disorder, specific learning ability, and most importantly, how to focus on studies during such difficult times.
CBSE has even started its annual free counseling program through the application from 10th May 2021 onwards. The Dost for life application by CBSE will also facilitate students/parents from all across the world, associated with CBSE schools to participate in such sessions.
The application is also designed to counsel students over their future career options and could be easily downloaded through the Google Play store.
The CBSE council has already issued a manual which is available at cbse.nic.in, discussing the psychological health of students involving the participation of school, family, and society and also on how to get through these times of pandemic.
