The rising Covid-19 cases across the country and also in the national capital has become a matter of great concern now. Within the past 24 hours, Delhi has reported 20,394 coronavirus cases with 407 deaths, while 24,444 people have recovered from the deadly virus too.
The count of active coronavirus cases in Delhi is 92,290 at present, while 16,966 people have died due to the Covid-19 virus.
Within the past 24 hours, Delhi has conducted over 71 thousand Covid-19 tests, out of these, over 54 thousand tests were the RT-PCR tests while over 17 thousand tests were the Antigen tests.
The main reason behind the increasing deaths in the city is the severe shortage of oxygen and lack of treatment being given to the patients, which is a cause of the fewer hospital beds. While the Delhi High Court has directed the government to increase oxygen supply to hospitals to curb the current situation.
