The second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic has shaken India to its worst, as within the past 24 hours, the country reported 3,79,257 new coronavirus cases with 3,645 deaths, while, 2,69,507 people recovered from the Covid-19 virus too.
From 1st May 2021, the third phase of Coronavirus vaccination will commence for people above the age of 18 years and people have also started registering for the same. It must be noted that, on the first day of the registration process of vaccination, almost 1.33 crore people were able to successfully register themselves.
While it is being stated that, the slots for registration on the CoWIN platform will soon be added if they are not currently available. Hence, it is advised that people must keep checking for the slots on short internvals.
As of now, India is using Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin and the Serum Institute of India’s Covishield vaccines to vaccinate citizens. However, the Sputnik V vaccine which was recently approved is expected to reach India by 1st May 2021 which will be further used to vaccinate the people of India.
