Coronavirus India Update: Health Ministry proposes lockdown in 150 most affected districts

Coronavirus India Update:

With a great surge in the Covid-19 cases in India, the country has recorded 3,60,960 new cases with 3,293 deaths within the past 24 hours. Well now, to curb the situation, the center is planning to impose lockdown in the 150 most-affected districts where the transmission rate of the virus is more than 15%. 

It must be noted that a decision in this regard will be taken following a high-profile meeting with the representatives of each state presiding over. 

The suggestion of imposing a lockdown in these districts was proposed by the Health Ministry, which stated that it is necessary to control the current situation. Moreover, out of the total cases, 69% of the cases were observed from the most affected 10 states which included, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, UP, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Chattisgarh, Bengal, Gujarat, and Rajasthan. 

It must be noted that from 28th April the registration for vaccination process for people from 18 years and above have also commenced.
