The Modi Government on Monday shared the new Covid-19 guidelines wherein, Plasma Therapy was removed as one of the treatments for the patients suffering from the Covid-19 virus. While the reason stated behind this step was that, various researches and surveys showed that Plasma Therapy has been ineffective in saving the lives of the patients suffering from the Covid-19 virus, and there was also no change witnessed in the condition of patients after undergoing plasma therapy.
While the Covid-19 task force and members of IMA had a meeting last week, wherein all the members agreed to consider the decision of removing Plasma Therapy from the Coronavirus guidelines due to its ineffectiveness in curing patients.
And hence, the Indian Government has decided to remove Plasma Therapy from the guidelines of Covid-19 treatment.
It must be noted that there are many cases across the country wherein patients even after undergoing Plasma therapy lost their fight against the deadly Covid-19 virus.
