Coronavirus India Update: PM Modi conducts a high-profile meeting on oxygen supply in the country

Coronavirus India Update:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting to discuss the oxygen supply and availability of medicines across the country. The ministers presiding over the meeting informed PM Modi that the government is monitoring the supply of medicines used for the Covid-19 virus and Murormycosis, well. 

The ministers also discussed with PM Modi that effective steps are being taken to increase the pace of production of vaccines. Moreover, the current scenario of raw materials being used for vaccines was also discussed. 

The Prime Minister was also informed about the increased production of Remdesivir and other essential drugs, being used to cure Covid-19 patients. He also analyzed the stock of oxygen, Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) plants installation, Oxygen Concentrators available across the country. 

To all this, PM Modi directed the respective states to work on operationalizing ventilators to resolve technical and training issues with the assistance of manufacturers.
