Coronavirus India update: Severe shortage of Oxygen reported in Maharashtra and Delhi, Weekend lockdown imposed in UP

Coronavirus India update:

With the intensifying Covid-19 cases in India, the daily reports of cases have now become unparalleled. The country is now reporting more than 3 lakh cases in a day, which has now made the situation uncontrollable in Maharashtra, Delhi, and other states as the shortage of oxygen, hospital beds, and other medicines have emerged too.

It must be noted that within the past 24 hours, Maharashtra has reported 66,836 new cases, while amongst this, 74,045 people have also recovered from the deadly virus, and 773 people have died due to the virus. The total active cases in Maharashtra have reached 6,91,851 and total cases are 41,61,676 cases. 

While considering Delhi, the national capital has registered 24,331 new Covid-19 cases within the past 24 hours, with 348 deaths. The total active Coronavirus cases in Delhi have now reached 92,029. During such times of crisis, Delhi has also reported a severe shortage of oxygen and also no availability of hospital beds. 

The largest state of the country Uttar Pradesh has reported 37,238 new Coronavirus cases within the past 24 hours with 199 deaths. And to control the current situation of increasing cases of the Covid-19 virus, Uttar Pradesh has imposed a weekend lockdown for Saturday and Sunday, during which, cleanliness, surveillance, and sanitization campaigns will be conducted.

 It must be informed that a train carrying oxygen tanks from Bokaro has left and a special train carrying oxygen for Lucknow has already reached Delhi on Saturday, which will prove to be a big relaxation for all the people suffering currently.
