The Covid-19 cases in India have dropped down considerably for the past few days, as the country has recently reported less than 1,80,000 cases which is the least in the past 46 days, however, the death toll isn’t falling down from the benchmark of 3,000 for the past few days.
The country reported 1,86,000 Covid-19 cases within the past 24 hours. The Coronavirus cases in Maharashtra within the past 24 hours were recorded at 20,740, in West Bengal the Covid-19 cases were noted at 12,193 with 145 deaths.
Gujarat has recently reported 2,521 Covid-19 cases and on the other hand, the Coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu aren’t visibly dropping down.
Therefore, to break the chain of the Covid-19 virus, CM MK Stalin has announced the extension of complete lockdown in the state by 1 more week. Hence, the Tamil Nadu lockdown will now continue until 7th June 2021.
