Cyclone Yaas: तूफ़ान पहुंचा Jharkhand, Ranchi में हो रही भारी बारिश, Bihar में red alert

Cyclone Yaas:

The severe Cyclonic Storm Yaas struck the Eastern coastal region of the country on Wednesday, and the havoc created by Cyclone Yaas has claimed the lives of 3 people in West Bengal and 1 person in Odisha. Various regions of Jharkhand and Bihar are experiencing heavy rainfall with strong winds blowing at a pace of around 75kmph. 

While Cyclone Yaas has now Jharkhand and very heavy rainfall is being experienced in Ranchi. 

After striking the coastal regions of Odisha and West Bengal, the Cyclone Yaas reached the coastal regions of Jharkhand. However, due to Cyclone Yaas, strong winds at the speed of 145 kmph blew in the affected regions with heavy rainfall, which caused many buildings and houses to collapse, while many fields got filled with water.

Considering the heavy rainfall in various regions of West Bengal and Odisha, the prevailing situation is not less than any Tsunami. While 11 districts of West Bengal and 9 districts of Odisha are still at Red Alert for the heavy rainfall, issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). 

Currently, many districts of Jharkhand and Bihar are facing the risk of heavy rainfall. After the storm struck at various regions, the pace of wind in Jharkhand will remain considerably low, however, expectations of heavy rainfall still remain high. 

It must be noted that more than 3 lakh houses and buildings in West Bengal have collapsed to date due to Cyclone Yaas, and more than 21 lakh people have been safely evacuated from West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha.
