The Uttar Pradesh government has ordered to open all government primary and upper primary schools in the state from July 1, 2021. This order was issued by the state government on 15 June 2021. However, the order issued by Pratap Singh Baghel, Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council, has been sent to various Divisional Assistant Directors of Education and Basic Education Officers and according to this, only teachers and administrative staff will be allowed to be present in about 1.5 lakh of these schools of the state government.
EPFO has extended the deadline for filing PF returns till September 1, 2021, by verifying the UAN of Employees' Provident Fund Fund with Aadhaar number. It is worth noting that earlier the last date for adding this was kept as 1 June 2021. But after an order issued by EPFO, the deadline for filing receipt of the Aadhaar verified UAN PF return has been extended.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has lifted the life ban imposed on cricketer Ankit Chavan. In 2013, Chavan was arrested for spot-fixing during the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Ankit Chavan was arrested by Delhi Police along with Ajit Chandila and Sreesanth. All three were playing for Rajasthan Royals at that time. In September 2013, Ankit Chavan and Sreesanth were banned from cricket for life by the BCCI's disciplinary committee.
