2. What is the amended tax exemption slab on the Provident Fund (PF) contribution by employees set by the Central Government?

 The new tax exemption slab set by the Central Government prescribed on the Provident Fund (PF) contribution by employees is INR 5 lakh now which earlier used to be INR 2.5 lakh. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Budget 2021-22 has declared that from the commencement of the New Financial Year i.e., 1st April 2021 onwards, the Provident Fund (PF) contribution by employees will be taxable if the amount crosses INR 5 lakh. 

 

3. Which state government has recently announced the setting up of the first ambulance network for animal health care service?

 Andhra Pradesh government has announced the launch of the first ambulance network in the country to provide animal health care services. Under this plan, almost 175 mobile ambulances will be set up and the animals will be given on-the-spot treatment with the kit in the ambulance.
