Recently, the US space agency NASA has extended the tenure of its 'Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (NEOWISE) telescope by two years. After this expansion, this 'Near-Earth Object' (NEO) Hunting Space Telescope of NASA will work till June 2023. Launched in December 2009 as the 'Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) mission, the telescope was originally surveying the entire sky through infrared wavelengths, detecting asteroids, stars, and some of the galaxies visible in deep space.
Recently, US troops have effectively ended their military operations by vacating Afghanistan's largest airbase after a 20-year-long war. On September 11, 2001, the terrorist attacks in America killed about 3,000 people. The withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan has shifted the balance of power on the battlefield to favor the Taliban.

In its recent orders, the Krishna River Management Board had asked Telangana to stop power generation. Tension has arisen due to the disobedience of orders of the Krishna River Management Board by the Telangana government.
