Dilip Kumar Passes Away:

Veteran Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar passed away on Wednesday morning at around 7:30 AM after a prolonged illness. Dilip Kumar was 98 years old and was admitted to Hinduja Hospital on Tuesday when he had a difficulty in breathing. 

There is a wave of mourning in the country since the news of the death of Dilip Kumar, popularly known as 'Tragedy King' in Bollywood.

Here's how various political personalities including President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and Rahul Gandhi paid tribute to him.

President Ram Nath Kovind said, “Dilip Kumar has summarized the history of emerging India in itself. The actor's charm crossed all boundaries and he was loved by the entire subcontinent. An era has come to an end with his death. Dilip Sahab will always be alive in the heart of India. Condolences to the family and their countless fans.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Dilip Kumar Ji will be remembered as a cinematic legend. He was blessed with unparalleled talent, due to which the audience was enthralled for generations. His passing is a loss to our cultural world. Condolences to his family, friends, and countless fans."

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted, "Shri Dilip Kumar Ji was an outstanding actor who was well appreciated by all for his exemplary contribution to the Indian film industry. His acting in films like Ganga Jamuna impressed millions of cine-lovers. I am deeply saddened by his death. I met Dilip Kumar Ji personally when I went to Mumbai to present him the Padma Vibhushan. It was a special moment for me to interact with the great actor. His death is an irreparable loss to Indian cinema. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and fans."
