Kisan Andolan at Jantar Mantar:
To protest and raise their voice against the three black laws, the farmers from all across the country are still protesting at the Delhi borders. And now, they’ve got permission from the Delhi Police to protest at the Jantar Mantar from 22nd July 2021 i.e., today until 9th August 2021.
While the reports are stating that the mutual agreement between the Farmers and the Delhi police was obtained as per the orders of Lieutenant General Anil Baijal. Around 200 farmers can protest daily at the Jantar Mantar from 11 AM until 5 PM, after permission from Delhi Police.
With the permission to protest, the off-duty Delhi police constables have been directed to remain on duty at the Jantar Mantar. Moreover, the constables who will be at their homes in Delhi can be called anytime at the Jantar Mantar. While the officials have also been directed to keep all the equipment including the lathis, tear gas, etc. to stop the agitation by some anti-social elements amongst the peaceful protest.
Moreover, strong barricading along with the personnel of Delhi Police and paramilitary forces have been deployed at different parts of Delhi.
