IPL Auction 2021: The IPL’s Mini Auction 2021 will be held today, i.e., on 18th February 2021 from 3 PM IST onwards in Chennai. A total of almost 292 players will be a part of this auction after 1,114 players registered for it. Out of these 292 players shortlisted for the IPL auction 2021, 164 players of them are Indian Players, 125 are overseas players and 3 of them are Associated Nations players. IPL Auction 2021 will start today 18th February 2021 from 3 PM IST onwards in Chennai. Where 249 players will be picked from a total of 1114 registered players.
These players will come forwards to be a part of these 8 franchises namely-
Just ahead of IPL Action Kings XI Punjab team changed its official name to Punjab Kings.
Out of these players, only 61 of them could be bought including 22 international players, by these 8 franchises to reach their crew limit of 25 players each. Any team can’t spend more than their available buying capacity as they are allowed to lay out at least 75 % of the finances available to them for IPL Auction 2021. Moreover, any of the team can not have more than 8 international players and 17 Indian Players for IPL 2021.
The teams like Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Banglore will have the biggest budget and are expected to deliver the maximum number of players.
With this, there also many players who have their base price as much as INR 2 crores. Coming under this umbrella of the base price of INR 2 crores are the players- Harbhajan Singh, Glenn Maxwell, Kedar Jadhav, Steve Smith, Jason Roy, Mark Wood, Shakib Al Hasan, Moeen Ali, Liam Plunkett and Sam Billings.
Coming under the umbrella of INR 1.5 crore base price are the players- Jhye Richardson, Nathan Coulter- Nile, Alex Carey, Alex Hales, Morne Morkel, Gregory Lewis, David Willey, Tom Curran, Dawid Malan, Shaun Marsh, Adil Rashid and Mujeeb Ur Rahman.
Other than this, under the category of the base price of INR 1 crore, there are 11 players, for the base price of INR 75 lakhs, 15 players are mentioned. 65 plates are mentioned for the base price of INR 50 lakhs, other than this, there are many players who have set their base price for INR 40 lakhs, 30 lakhs and 20 lakhs too.
