JEE Advanced 2021 Postponed: Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) has postponed the JEE Advanced 2021 exam. A short notice has been issued on the official website in this regard. The notice states that ‘Considering the prevailing pandemic situation due to COVID-19, JEE (Advanced) 2021 which was scheduled to be held on July 03, 2021 (Saturday) stands postponed. The revised date of examination will be announced at an appropriate time.’
Candidates can check the notice related to the postponement of the exam by visiting the official website, jeeadv.ac.in JEE Advanced 2021 was to be organized by IIT Kharagpur on July 3, 2021, at various examination centres across the country. The examination was to be conducted in two shifts. In the first shift, the examination of Paper 1 was scheduled from 9 am to 12 noon and in the second shift, the examination of Paper 2 was scheduled from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. However, once the exam is postponed, candidates may have to wait for a new date.
Let us tell you that Union Education Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal 'Nishank' announced the date of JEE Advanced Examination on January 7 and eligibility for admission to IIT Institutions. The Education Minister had announced that the JEE Advanced Examination will be conducted on July 3, 2021. Apart from this, the education minister had also informed that this time the JEE Advanced exam will be conducted by IIT Kharagpur. After the announcement by the Education Minister, the exam date was released on January 8, 2021, on the official website.
Significantly, the Education Minister had announced that keeping in view the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, like last year, this year too, the requirement of 75 per cent marks in class 12 for admission has been abolished.
