  • Focus on Current Affairs, but while doing that, don’t forget to focus on your statistics syllabus. For the Current Affairs Rohit used to refer to one to two magazines. For the statistic syllabus, it was stated that few important subjects should be revised regularly.

  • Giving as much as Mock tests before the Prelims exam, as preparing using those test papers will always introduce you to new questions which you may prepare and work on. This way you will get to prepare more topics in less time.

  • Always attempt the questions in the Prelims exam as per your capabilities, which you will be able to know about while solving your mock test papers during your preparations. The questions you are very confident about must be finished first. 

  • It must be noted that there are many topics to which you will be introduced while solving the mock test papers which you will otherwise hardly read about.   

  • While appearing for the exam, students must solve question papers using their common sense, without being confused, as there are many questions in the UPSC exam that can be solved using common sense. 

  • Most of the toppers advise you to attempt around 80-90 questions during the Prelims test, however, you should attempt the questions as per your capabilities. And if you prepare well, you will be able to solve even more questions.
