The Madhya Pradesh Government has ordered the closure of schools until Class 8th due to the increasing Corona Virus cases in the state. As per the reports, all the government and private schools have been directed to cease the classes for students from Grade 1 until Grade 8 until 15th April 2021. Confirming the news, the School Education and Department, Madhya Pradesh tweeted mentioning that due to the continuous rise in Covid-19 cases in the last few days, all the government and private schools will remain close for Classes 1 to 8. For Classes 9 to 12, the guidelines issued earlier will prevail.

It must be noted that other than Madhya Pradesh, many other regions of the country have ordered the schools to suspend classes due to the rapid increase in the Covid-19 cases in different regions of the country. Following this, Pune has also ordered the closure of all the schools and colleges until 31st March 2021. Latur and Palghar have also ordered the closure of schools until 31st March 2021. Moreover, Gujarat Government has also directed the conduction of online classes in various cities such as Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vadodara, Surat, Bhavnagar, Gandhinagar, Jamnagar and Junagarh until 10th April. The Board exams 2021 for these regions will commence from 10th May 2021.
However, the Delhi Government as of now has not taken any decision regarding the students up to Class 8, and Punjab Government has also closed all the schools and colleges until 31st March 2021.
