Maharashtra coronavirus cases:
The Covid-19 cases in the country may be decreasing, but the speculations of the severe third wave have again put the country under the umbrella of risk. And amidst all this, the Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra are gradually increasing every day as the state is reporting around 10,000 coronavirus cases every day, from the past week.
As per the reports, a lockdown has been imposed in 7 villages of Maharashtra and considering the increasing coronavirus cases, a lockdown for 7 days i.e., until 7th July has been imposed in the Katevadi and Baramati Tauka region of the state.
It must be noted that after a downfall in the cases from the second wave, various restrictions were lifted from the region which caused various social distancing protocols to be breached, and hence, the Covid-19 cases in the region started surging all over again.
The health minister of Maharashtra, Rajesh Tope confirmed that after testing around 7,500 people, 21 cases of the deadly Delta Plus variant were found in the state. However, the state is striving to fight the deadly variant and has issued guidelines for the same.
