Nandigram Result 2021: Mamta Banerjee looses Nandigram? Suvendu convoy attacked

Nandigram  Elections 2021: The results of the Bengal Assembly elections 2021  are closed now. After a long high votage drama of who is Nandigram finally after recouninting Suvendu won Nandigram seat. Initially it was declared that Nandigram seat was won by about 1600 votes, later recounting happened and Suvendu was declared the winner. Mamata has refiled a request for a 3rd recount which the EC denined and officially delcaring Suvendu as the winner of Nandigram. 

Late last night Suvendu convoy was attacked by local TMC supporters outraged with the election outcome. Many reports of BJP offices being burned down and BJP supporters being attacked also came out. 

Earlier Suvendu was winning from Nandigram when he was part of TMC. But before the Bengal Elections 2021, Suvendu Adhikari has joined the BJP, leaving the TMC. Nandigram was chosen by Mamata Banerjee, leaving her Bhawanipur seat to challenge Suvendu. Mamta gave an open challenge to Suuvendu to win over her if he can.  Nandigram's battle for both Mamta and Suvendu became a nose fight. At the same time, after 14 rounds of counting, Mamata Banerjee has passed by 2331 votes. Suvendu Adhikari is ahead of Nandigram by 6 votes after the 16th round of counting. Mamata Banerjee was ahead in the 17th round by 820 votes.
