Coronavirus India Update: The second wave of Coronavirus pandemic is wreaking havoc in India. Around 40 per cent of the cases of the world are being recorded in India every day. According to the latest data released report by the Health Ministry, 386,452 new Corona cases and 3,498 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours while 2,97,540 patients got discharged.
Meanwhile, the toll of total cases in the country reached 1,87,62,976 and to date, 1,53,84,418 people have been recovered from Covid-19. The total death toll of the country has reached 2,08,330 and there are still 31,70,228 active cases of Coronavirus.
Talking about the worst-hit states than Maharashtra and National Capital Delhi are severely impacted by this second wave. In the past 24 hours, Maharashtra recorded 66,159 news cases of Coronavirus while Delhi saw the highest death toll of 395 on Thursday. Delhi also recorded 24,235 new cases were recorded in Delhi in the last 24 hours which increased the infection rate in the state by 32.82 per cent.
The death rate due to coronavirus is 1.11 per cent in the country while the recovery rate is around 82 per cent. Active cases have risen to 17 per cent and India is the second country in terms of highest active cases in the world.
