Mughal Garden: Delhi’s most beautiful and topiary and roomy garden i.e., the Mughal Garden is open again for a pleasant visit. Our president Ram Nath Kovind on 12th February 2021  i.e, today has given an auspicious start to this annual flower show at Rashtrapati Bhawan’s Mughal Garden. In this article we will tell you all about the beautiful Mughal Gardens and why its the best place to visit with famiy and friends.

 

Mughal Garden Registration Process

The garden will open for the general public from Saturday, 13th February 2021. While the visitors planning to visit Mughal Garden must do a pre-booking online before paying a visit there.

Mughal Garden timing 2021

The visitors will be allowed to visit the Mughal Garden as well as the Rashtrapati Bhawan and the Rashtrapati Bhawan’s museum from 13th February 2021 until 21st March 2021 from 10 AM to 5 PM in the evening excluding Mondays. 

 

Mughal Garden Entry fee 2021

This year, unlike every year the visitors will be a part of the ‘Change of Guard’ programme and will be allowed an entry to the Rashtrapati Bhawan only through online booking rather than buying it from Rashtrapati Bhawan. It is to be noted that there will be 7 different slots for online booking for visitors at the intervals of 1 hour and visitors will be allowed to enter Mughal Garden by 4 PM last. While visitors are instructed to maintain social distancing and wear masks while visiting the Mughal Garden. Moreover, all the visitors before entering the Mughal Garden have to go through a thermal screening and will be allowed an entry and exit through Gate number 35 of Rashtrapati Bhawan only which is situated on the road connecting North Avenue to Rashtrapati Bhawan.

History of Mughal Garden:

This beautiful garden situated in the heart of Delhi dates back to the time of Mughal Era and is one of the magnificent garden built by Mughals inspired by Persian Gardens particularly the Charbhagh structure. The basic intention behind building these astounding gardens was to create a representation of an earthy utopia in which humans co-exist in perfect harmony with all elements of nature. These gardens were constructed at different places during the Mughal Reign mostly in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan and India and Mughal Garden Situated in Rashtrapati Bhawan Delhi is one of them. Mughal Gardens have features like pools, fountains, canals inside the garden.

 

While visiting the Mughal Garden Delhi, the nearest metro station is Central Secretariat on Violet line.
