Various regions of Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) recieved heavy rainfall along with thunder, lightning with strong winds on Monday midnight, which proved to be a much-needed relief from the summer heat.
Moreover, certain regions of Delhi also witnessed light showers of rain on Tuesday morning too.
The bulletin issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) at 6:58 AM read, “Light intensity rain/drizzle would occur over and adjoining regions of isolated places of Delhi. Thunderstorm with light to moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with a speed of 30 to 50 kmph would occur over and adjoining area of Adampur, Hissar, Hansi, Mehan, Siwani, Tosham, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri (Haryana) Bhadra, Sidhmukh, Sadulpur (Rajasthan) during the next 2 hours.”
On Monday, the national capital Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees below the normal temperature, soon after a sudden dust storm hit the capital on Sunday.
