The National Examination Agency (NTA) said that about 13.66 lakh students appeared in this examination, out of which a total of 7,71,500 candidates have passed the examination. The highest number of candidates from Tripura (88,889) succeeded in the examination, while the second place was from Maharashtra. 79,974 participants from Maharashtra passed the examination. The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) was conducted on 13 September with strict precautionary measures in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
