With the second wave of the Covid-19 virus in India, various people across the country have suffered a lot and have even lost their lives due to the scarcity of oxygen in India, and Delhi especially has witnessed the most oxygen shortage. And now, to curb this shortage of oxygen, the Delhi government has decided to deliver the oxygen to the patients at their doorsteps, who are getting treated under home isolation.
While for this, the Kejriwal government will first startup with an oxygen pool, which will be handled personally by the District Magistrate, and for this, the Kejriwal government has asked people to donate empty cylinders and for more information, people must contact the given number- 011-23270718.
The health department has allowed 20 oxygen cylinders to each of the districts in Delhi. The people under home isolation in need of oxygen can register themselves on the official portal of the Delhi government i.e., Delhi.gov.in. For the registration, one must need an Aadhar Card or any valid photo ID card. Moreover, they also need to submit their Covid-19 positive report and also CT scan reports.
The DM will provide e-pass to the applicants as per their priority and needs and will also find out dealers who will be able to provide oxygen to the patients. Moreover, DM will also be responsible to make available the oxygen cylinders to the patients, to other non-covid hospitals, and also the ambulances.
