PM Modi All-party meeting:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called an all-party meeting of the leaders of Jammu and Kashmir today at his residence in Delhi. The meeting will be attended by many leaders including Mehbooba Mufti from PDP and Farooq Abdullah from the National Conference.
However, prior to this, separate meetings have been called by Congress and BJP. Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad will preside over the Congress party’s meeting, which will be attended by Ghulam Ahmed Mir and Tarachand. While this meeting is being speculated as the party’s strategic meeting.
While on the other hand, a party meeting is being held at the BJP headquarters in Delhi under the chairmanship of JP Nadda, which will be attended by ministers such as Kavinder Gupta and Nirmal Singh, among others.
However, the agenda of the all-party meeting presided over by PM Modi isn’t clear yet.
It must be noted that all the ministers have openly welcomed the invitation to PM Modi’s all-party meeting, and have stated that they will freely discuss the Jammu and Kashmir matter, which will help in improving the current situation prevailing in the union territory.
