Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Monday and discussed the vaccination policy in the country through the medium of video conferencing. Talking about the availability of vaccines in the country, and to the different state governments, PM Modi told that the government has planned to increase vaccination amid the second wave of coronavirus in the country.
Along with this, he also answered the questions raised by the states on the vaccination and also the Centralized Vaccine Drive. PM Modi stated that till now, 50 percent of the vaccine work in the country was in the hands of the central government, 25 percent of the state governments, and 25 percent of the private sector.
But, from now onwards, 75 percent of the vaccine will be given to the central government and the rest to the private sector coronavirus India.
Adding further, PM Modi stated that from 21st June onwards, the Central Government will provide free vaccines to the state governments for the people above the age of 18 years, hence, people will be vaccinated for free.
Also, PM Narendra Modi stated that 75% of vaccine stock being manufactured by the companies, will be purchased and used within the company.
