The Government of India has announced to train more than 1 lakh, Covid frontline workers, as PM Narendra Modi is going to launch a “Customised Crash Course Program” for the Covid-19 Frontline Workers” on 18th June 2021.
The program emphasizes training the frontliners or the healthcare staff at 111 training centers in six customized job sectors, namely Home Care Support, Basic Care Support, Advanced Care Support, Emergency Care Support, Medical Equipment Support, and Sample Collection Support.
The Customised Crash Course Program aims to create skilled non-medical healthcare workers to strengthen the healthcare sector of the country and fill the present and future needs of manpower for the same. It must be noted that the program has been designed as a special program under the Central Component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0, and has its worth around INR 276 crores.
Moreover, the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal has announced today to train 5,000 youths as health assistants, and the registration process for the program will begin from 17th June onwards, while the program is scheduled to commence from 28th June in the batches of 500 candidates.
Adding further, CM Kejriwal stated that these healthcare assistants will be employed during the third wave of the pandemic whenever needed, and will be paid as per the number of days they worked.
