Sawan Month 2021 Start and End Date:
The fifth month of the Hindi Panchang (Hindi Calendar) Shravan, also known as Sawan is considered very auspicious in Hindu mythology as the month is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The whole month is spent worshiping Lord Shiva, particularly every Monday of the month.
It is believed that worshipping Lord Shiva every Monday during the Sawan month brings prosperity and good life. The devotees of Lord Shiva also experience a Kavar Yatra to Haridwar during this month of Sawan.
As per the Hindi Calendar, the Shravan month or the Sawan month comes after the Aashad month. While this year, the Aashad month is ending on 24th July, and the Shravan or the Sawan month will commence on 25th July until 22nd August.
First Sawan Monday fast is on 26th July
Second Sawan Monday fast is on 2nd August
Third Sawan Monday fast is on 9th August
Fourth Sawan Sawan Monday fast is on 16th August
The month of Sawan as per the Hindu Mythology is of great significance, as it is believed that all the wishes made by the devotees are fulfilled by Lord Shiva, and fasting on Mondays is considered even more auspicious.
It is popularly said that all the difficulties in marriages are solved by worshiping Lord Shiva during this month, and worshipping Lord Shiva also leads us to attain Moksha after death.
