Security forces recently killed two terrorists at an encounter in Srinagar of Jammu and Kashmir and. However, the terrorists have not been identified yet. The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police (JK Police) are running a joint operation and the search operation is still going on in the area.

The encounter between security forces and terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar started in the early hours of Friday (July 16) and there is still a possibility of some terrorists hiding in the area. After getting information about the hiding of terrorists in the Alamdar Colony of Danmar area of Srinagar, the security forces surrounded the entire area and started the search operation. And after this, the terrorists started firing, to which the security forces also retaliated.

IG Vijay Kumar of Jammu and Kashmir Police told that “The police along with the security forces have so far killed 78 terrorists in the Valley this year. Most of the terrorists (39 out of 78) in these encounters were associated with the banned terrorist organization Lashkar.”
Apart from this, terrorists of Hizbul Mujahideen, Al-Badr, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind have been killed.
