Recently, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal has made serious allegations against the ruling Punjab government regarding the COVID-19 vaccination in the state.
He accused the Punjab government of portraying an artificial shortage of vaccines. Adding further, Mr. Singh accused the ruling Congress government in the state by saying that the government instead of providing the vaccines to the people of Punjab, is selling them at higher prices to the private institutions.
He also accused the Health Minister of Punjab, Balbir Singh Sidhu of buying vaccines at a price of Rs 400 and selling them to private hospitals for Rs 1060. Sukhbir Badal demanded a probe into the matter to the Punjab High Court.
While replying to the allegations, the Health Minister of Punjab state that he is only responsible for the testing, vaccination, and treatment of the Covid-19 patients, and he is also organizing free camps for the Covid-19 vaccination.
