Amidst the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, the vaccination drive in the country is going on for people aged between 18 to 60 years.
And recently, the Supreme Court of India condemned the ruling government for not continuing with the free vaccination drive for people for the age group between 18 to 44 prima facie as arbitrary and irrational.
Moreover, the SC also questioned that why can’t the budget allotment of INR 35,000 crores for the purchase of vaccines be used, and also asked about the insights on the purchase of vaccines.
The Supreme Court also questioned that the delay in vaccination drive is putting the rights of the citizens at risk. Also, the Supreme court stated that preferring an online mode of registration for vaccination is not a favorable option for every citizen of the country.
