West Bengal politics:

The political circumstances of West Bengal are full of turmoil, and take a new turn almost every day. Recently, BJP minister Suvendu Adhikari met the Governor of West Bengal Jagdeep Dhankar on Monday and questioned the political law and order in the state.

Suvendu even handed over a memorandum to the governor and demanded that an “Anti-Defection law” shall be enforced in the state.

It must be noted that Suvendu targeted the recent comeback of Mukul Roy from BJP to TMC, and said that he should resign from his post on ethical grounds.

While demanding the resignation of Mukul Roy, Suvendu mentioned his joining the BJP Party too, after leaving TMC, to which he stated that defection i.e., changing parties is common in politics.

Along with Mukul Roy, other 51 BJP ministers who won the recent elections also came to meet Jagdeep Dhankar.
