Tandav 2021: After directing action/drama-packed movies like ‘Tiger Zinda hai’, Sultan and ‘ Bharat', Director Ali Abbas Zafar is back with OTT drama on Amazon Prime Videos. Revolving around the national capital Delhi, Tandav will be based on a dark story about Indian Politics and ambitions unfolding behind closed doors and in corridors of power.
The OTT television drama is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on 15 January 2021, Friday.

Saif Ali Khan - Saif Ali Khan will be seen as a powerful and vehement politician. In a recent interview with Mid-day Saif shared that he even allowed shooting of the series in his Royal Palace of Pataudi. He Said
"I don’t mind giving it a shot sometimes because it remains unused 340 days of the year. These days, film crews have become responsible and look after the venues, but [the idea of a shoot] still makes me nervous. Usually, I am more comfortable if they are filming around the exterior of the palace. But for Tandav, I made an exception by shooting inside."
Ali Abbas also convened Dimple Kapadia, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub and Sunil Grover for this Political drama produced by Himanshu Kishan Mehra and Ali Abbas Zafar. This series marks the digital debut of Dimple Kapadia.
The story is penned by Gaurav Solanki. Actor Dino Morea, Kumud Mishra, Gauahar Khan, Amyra Dastur, Mohd. Zeeshan Ayyub, Kritika Kamra, Sarah Jane Dias, Sandhya Mridul, Annup Sonii, Hitten Ttejwani, Paresh Pahuja and Shonali Nagrani among others also starred for the show.
Showing Saif Ali Khan as a strong Political Leader, The trailer shows the plot of the political drama in the city of Delhi.
In a virtual press conference, Saif Ali Khan said that this show will revolve around the psyche of people who are caught in the greed of politics and power. It will also equally impact the theme as the show will speak about the Indian society in general.
Saif said, “the show delves into the psyche of people caught in the greed for power, and it would have been equally impactful with a theme other than politics as it speaks about the Indian society in general.” “But we are a political nation and we like discussing it, so it’s a really good idea for a show. This is a fantasy show, a fiction. It’s dressed up and has influences from all over the place,” he added.
With a strong cast and script, it will be interesting to watch what creator Ali Abbas has bought in for the audience and will it be worth the hype.
