Uttarakhand New CM 2021:
Before the assembly elections to be held in Uttarakhand next year, the people of the state are going to get a new Chief Minister once again. Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has resigned from his post on Friday due to constitutional obligation, after sending his resignation to BJP National President JP Nadda. Now the BJP leadership can make a new Chief Minister from among the existing MLAs, and considering this, the names of ministers namely, Dhan Singh Rawat, Banshidhar Bhagat, Harak Singh Rawat, and Satpal Maharaj are leading in the state government.
It must be noted that on 10th March 2021, Tirath Singh Rawat, MP from the Pauri Lok Sabha’s seat, was made the new Chief Minister. While the Assembly elections are scheduled to be held only in February-March next year, so the decision to hold by-elections rests with the Election Commission.
As per the reports, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will go to Dehradun on Saturday as an observer. The Legislative Party meeting will be held on Saturday evening. This meeting will be organized at 3 pm under the chairmanship of state president Madan Kaushik.
In the race for the post of Chief Minister, the name of Higher Education Minister (Independent Charge) Dhan Singh Rawat comes on the top. Rawat is an MLA from the Srinagar Legislative Assembly.
Banshidhar Bhagat, a cabinet minister in the Uttarakhand government, is also among the contenders for the post of CM. Bhagat, an MLA from the Kaladhungi assembly seat, has been a minister in various governments formed in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
The name of Cabinet Minister Harak Singh Rawat is also being mentioned among the contenders for the post of Chief Minister.
Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj is also said to be a contender for the post of CM. Satpal Maharaj played an important role in the formation of Uttarakhand.
