The pace of the monsoon in north-western India has slowed down, as per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon isn’t reaching Delhi in the next two days. However, the current weather conditions are implying to the expectations of heavy rainfall and strong winds in the city today.
While the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that the Western Disturbances have caused a delay in the monsoon reaching the national capital Delhi.
However, Uttar Pradesh has received monsoon rains this year before time, as regions such as Lucknow, and Kanpur have received heavy rainfall, and an alert has been issued in the state by the IMD.
While states such as Punjab, Haryana, UP, and other surrounding regions may receive rainfall.
