After the destruction caused by Cyclone Tauktae, the country is preparing for another Cyclone Yaas which is emerging from the Bay of Bengal. The Indian Meteorological Department stated that the low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal has turned into a high-pressure area.
Cyclone Yaas is expected to affect Odisha and the Eastern coastal region of West Bengal on Wednesday. And after this, in the next 24 hours, Cyclone Yaas is expected to turn into a severe storm.
As an effect of Cyclone Yaas, regions such as Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, and Chandigarh are expected to experience dust storms and heavy rainfall for the next three days.
Whereas the regions such as Odisha, West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Meghalaya, Assam, and Andaman, and Nicobar island are expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall.
Jharkhand and Bihar are expected to experience heavy rainfall on 26th and 27th May 2021 due to Cyclone Yaas. Due to the rapidly changing weather conditions in the country, it was being speculated that the Monsoon this year will arrive soon, but the Monsoon Department has already stated that Monsoon will arrive on its time this year too.
